Rachel K. Kaufman, MD

located in Dallas, TX

Dr. Rachel Kaufman is an ACGME fellowship trained Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist with expertise in the most advanced interventional pain management techniques available.

Dr. Kaufman completed her residency in Anesthesiology at UT Southwestern and her fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the prestigious Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Kaufman is specially trained in the utilization of minimally invasive ultrasound and fluoroscopically guided interventions to treat conditions such as neck pain, back pain, sciatica, herniated discs, joint pain, spinal stenosis, arthritis, vertebral compression fractures, failed back surgery syndrome (lumbar post-laminectomy syndrome), complex regional pain syndrome(CRPS), headaches, neuropathy, and sports injuries. Her clinical philosophy is to focus on treating pain at its source, instead of trying to mask pain with the utilization of dangerous, addictive, and potentially deadly narcotics. She is skilled in advanced procedural techniques such as spinal cord stimulation (SCS) to treat chronic pain syndromes, radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to treat chronic arthritis pain, and kyphoplasty to treat vertebral compression fractures.

Dr. Kaufman utilizes the most advanced diagnostic techniques to assess the underlying cause of pain. She then develops a multi-disciplinary approach to treat the source of the pain and correct the underlying dysfunction that led to the pain developing in the first place. She works in correlation with the best physical therapists, general practice physicians, chiropractors, neurologists, and spine surgeons to assure her patients have the best team approach to achieve their optimal health.

Dr. Kaufman comes from an internationally renowned medical family and understands the value of outstanding patient-centric care. She possesses a unique combination of knowledge and compassion that enables her to effectively communicate with her patients about their condition, in a language that they can understand. She clearly and articulately explains the steps that will be taken to alleviate pain and restore function, enabling her patients to get back to living their lives to the fullest.

Dr. Kaufman is accepting new patients and takes all major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans.
